Loot Council Guidelines
The responsibility of the council is to divide loot evenly and fairly across their fellow mythic raiders. Below are some guidelines to help make decisions when deciding on loot.
Current raiders should always be prioritized over trials. A trial should only get loot if a current raider does not need it.
Backup raiders can receive loot at the council's discretion. We should however be prioritizing guild members over non-guild members. If a non-guild member is more reliable than a guild member, then it is okay to give loot to the non-guild member first.
Is the raider reliable? Consistency is a big part of raiding and we want gear first going to those who we know are going to show up each week.
Is the raider working on their gear outside of the raid? We want to discourage people from "raid logging". Raiders should also be doing M+ to help with their gear. This is really important at the start of a patch or expansion. No one should be logging in only for raid and expecting to get gear. The officer in charge of the loot council will be able to advise if there are people who should not be prioritized due to this.
The person with the biggest item level difference should get the gear. As long as the raider is consistent and working on their gear outside of raid, if the item is a bigger upgrade for them, then they should get it.
At the start of a patch or expansion, loot council should focus on getting everyone 2 piece first. After all main raiders have 2 piece then can work to obtain 4 piece.
Offspecs should only be considered if they play it consistently in our raids or if no one else needs the item.
Read notes left by raiders. Raiders are asked to leave notes, especially for BIS items. Make sure to read them to help make your decisions.
Don't be afraid to use the roll feature. If two or more players need an item, they are all consistent and work on their characters outside of raid, then give the item to the highest roll.
The guild respects and stands by the decisions made by the loot council. If any raider has an issue with how loot is being given out, please speak with an officer or guild leader. If the loot council has any questions or needs any advice they can speak with the officer in charge.
